Company Day

Saturdays are Company day at the Cary Ballet Conservatory.  All week, our Company dancers are training hard in their assigned curriculum at the Conservatory. On Saturday mornings, things get even more interesting.  The Junior and Senior Company dancers each have an 1.5 hour technique class with Artistic Director, Mariaelena Ruiz  or Associate Artistic Director, Heather Iler.  The younger ones are inspired and pushed by the older ones, who inspire and push one another.  Karl Moraski, Company accompanist, provides the dancers with  live music which significantly enhances their levels of musicality. This added level of instruction engages and challenges our dancers to excel in glorious, unexpected ways.

After lunch break, the afternoons are reserved for scheduled rehearsals for The Nutcracker & Spring Works, UNSCA’s Festival of NC Dance ensemble pieces, or other pieces that need attention. Great fun, great challenge, great day!
