This Sensory-Sensitive performance provides a relaxed environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all members of our community. This includes children and families with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other disabilities.
This year’s Sensory Sensitive performance is Friday, Dec 15, 11 am, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave., Cary.
At this supportive performance, our audience will experience the following:
- House lights will remain dimly lit
- Volume reduction for the entire show
- No Flashing lights
- Accommodated auditorium rules: audience members are free to move about during the show
- Quiet Room available in the lobby
It is an excellent introduction for kids of all ages. This narrated one-hour show begins with a bare stage, allowing the audience to watch how the stage is set with lights, music, props, and dancers — how dancers go from the studio to the theater.
