Our Mission

Our mission is to share the transformative power of ballet through inspiring performances, broad cultural and educational access, and meaningful community engagement that nurtures the next generation of artists.

To present the community the highest quality of dance that includes legendary ballets and new works by current choreographers

To educate and encourage our community to utilize and appreciate this art expression through customized student matinees, in school demonstrations, and free ballet classes to children that are economically disadvantaged.

To collaborate with other businesses to strengthen community relationships, support other business owners, and support community vitality.

To provide our company members with professional-level training, performing opportunities, master classes, audition experiences, collaborative arts events, and Artist in Residence programs.

Founded with a passion for dance and a commitment to excellence, the Cary Ballet Company has established itself as one of the premier youth ballet institutions in North Carolina. Our performances captivate audiences with technical and artistic prowess while offering our dancers exceptional training and access to renowned Guest Artists and choreographers.

Beyond the stage, we are deeply committed to community engagement. Our outreach programs aim to introduce the joy of dance to underserved communities. Additionally, our educational initiatives, ranging from school workshops to masterclasses for aspiring dancers, underscore our mission of making ballet accessible to all.

Since1998, Cary Ballet Company has continually offered classical ballet and contemporary work to showcase the versatility and talent of our dancers, many of whom have gone on to grace international stages. Some highlights:

1998: Inaugural performance of "Visions of Sugarplums", an in-studio show of excerpts from The Nutcracker
2011: Named Resident Company of Cary Arts Center
2015: Expanded to offer 7 Nutcracker performances
2017: "Divertissement of Le Corsaire"
2018: "La Bayadere" & "Jungle Book"
2019: Selections from "Sleeping Beauty", "Coppelia", "Swan Lake", & "Paquita"
2021: "Don Quixote" & "Flick of the Wrist"
2022: Expand Nutcracker performances to downtown Raleigh.
